Notes:Shows routes taken over the period 1902-1903 by the Swedish Antarctic Expedition led by Otto Nordenskiöld, aboard the 'Antarctic' commanded by Carl Larsen. Routes covered the South Shetland islands, then concentrated on the Bransfield Strait as far west as the Belgica Strait [i.e., Gerlache Strait], and as far east as Joinville Island, followed by the sea exploration of the eastern coast of Graham Land. Map outlines sledge journeys, winter quarters, and routes taken on both the 1st and 2nd voyages of the "Antarctic".
