| Summary: | Exhibition catalogue of the Salón de Arte Moderno, the Biblioteca Luis Angel Arango's important contributions to Colombian artistic and social culture during the 5 decades between 1957 and 2007. Curators Suárez and Calderón Schrader recovered the majority of the art pieces exhibited in 1957 in the pioneer event that included emerging artists who later would become well-known names: Fernando Botero, Édgar Negret, Alejandro Obregón, Carlos Rojas, Enrique Grau and Eduardo Ramírez Villamizar among others. Includes critical texts by art historians Jorge Orlando Melo, Álvaro Medina, Carmen María Jaramillo, Nicolás Gómez, Felipe González, Natalia Paillie and Julián Serra.
