Summary:Vlaho Bukovac (1855 - 1922) is regarded as the leading painter of his country, Croatia. His body of work comprises several exquisite tranquil landscapes, painted en plein air, although his greatest love was the portrait. He also participated in the prestigious Paris Salon of 1880 and the Secession exhibition in Vienna.
