Summary:A book dedicated to the least known facet of master artist Amelia Peláez (b. Cuba 1896-1915): her facet as a ceramist. Peláez, considered one of the pioneers of the Cuban artistic avant-garde movement of the mid-20th century was also a member of the Santiago de las Vegas workshop in the decade of the 1950's. This edition analyses in detail her ceramic creation process and diverse production, and its relationship to her painting. Critical texts by Ramón Vázquez Díaz, Cuban art researcher and specialist in Amelia Pelez's work, José Veigas and Carmen Peláez, the artist's recently deceased sister.
