Summary: | Lajjo, the village belle was the cynosure of the village villains' eyes. She was much sought after by one and many. When she fell in love with Paras, a doctor who had come to save the village from the dreaded plague, the villagers could not tolerate it. He was assaulted and thrown into the river to die. Lajjo herself was blinded. But as luck would have it, Paras was survived and admitted to a city hospital and looked after by Dr. Singh and his daughter Dr. Manju. But he was only worried about Lajjo who had been kidnapped by unknown people. Then one day a well wisher enters her life promising to restore her eyesight. He is none other than Dr. Paras who is now engaged to Dr. Manju. What happens next forms the crux of Dhoop chhaon.
