| Summary: | Major study with an original approach on the life and art of José Pedro Costigliolo (b. Montevideo, Uruguay, 1902 - 1985) one of the most important representatives of geometric art in Uruguay during the decades of the 1940's and 1950's -upon Torres García's return to the country- and after having exhausted the Naturalistic, Impressionist and Expressionist Movements.
