Kamali on her way back to Kudremukh from Bangalore, where she had gone for an interview for job, is robbed off her hand bag. She loses her money and ticket. The abandoned handbag is discovered by Surya. He sends it to the address mentioned on her certificates in the bag. She is so happy and thanks Surya in a letter. Exchange of letters begin and they fall in love. She sends him a handknit vest. Surya quits the job and is in search of a new job. He starts driving Autorikshaw (three wheeler) in Bangalore. Kamali sets out to meet him. She has no clue about his whereabouts or looks. She hires his autorikshaw not knowing that he was Surya. She decides to go back home with disappointment, and accidentally, she sees the vest he was wearing. She gets off the train and meets her beloved.
