Summary:The exhibition is formed from the Modus Vivendi collection in Moscow which has been assembled over the last twenty years through purchases of works by the old Dutch and Flemish masters in European auction houses such as Christie's and Sotheby's. The collection stands out with its purposeful selection of works and quality. Drawn with great care and characterized by a special delicacy in the treatment of details and the bright elegance of colors, these works by old Flemish and Dutch masters enjoyed tremendous success during the artists' lifetimes and in subsequent generations until today. This collection of flower still lifes, collected by V.V. Babkin, gives an excellent overview of the development and variety of the genre in the XVII century.
