Summary:Exposure to violence in childhood is a national crisis in the United States. This government task force was established to examine this issue and how exposure to violence in childhood can be addressed and prevented. This report presents the findings and recommendations of the task force. Sections include: Ending the epidemic of children exposed to violence; Identifying children exposed to violence; Treatment and healing of exposure to violence; Creating safe and nurturing homes; Communities rising up out of violence; and Rethinking our juvenile justice system.
